During the year, we try to arrange a number of school visits covering as wide a range of activities as possible.
School visits are arranged by class teachers throughout the year and are intended to be enjoyable and educational. These visits are linked to class work, particularly history and geography, and are also designed to give children a better understanding of the environment.
Year 5 normally attends a residential activity centre on the Devon coast for a week of outdoor education and science activities. Year 6 normally spends a week in London, visiting a number of sights. Through our connection with the Ironmongers’ Company, the children are entertained in Ironmongers’ Hall, one of the magnificent Livery Halls of the City.
During each year we also have a number of special feature days or weeks. For example, we have a science week, an arts week and special RE days.
